Doula Referrals on Repeat
Robin Elise Weiss, Doula Educator and Mentor
Doula Referrals on Repeat. A 5 day live and recorded intensive.

You post every day. Referrals still don't come. Here's why.

You post on Instagram every day. You hand out business cards at every event you go to. You wait.

Sometimes a client comes from it. Sometimes nothing does, and you're left wondering what you did wrong.

Nothing. You didn't do anything wrong. You just never learned how referrals actually work.

Doula Referrals on Repeat is a 5 day intensive where you'll map every referral source you already have, learn how to make each one work harder for you, and walk away with a plan you can run again the next time referrals slow down.

Referrals feel like luck. They aren't.

One

You're only using half the definition

Ask ten doulas what a referral is and you'll get ten different answers. Some think it's word of mouth. Some think it's a provider sending someone your way. Both are right, and both are incomplete. There are more sources than that, and if you're only working one or two, the rest are sitting there unused.

Two

It just happens is only half true

Most doulas believe referrals happen naturally if you do good work. What's missing is the deliberate part. The specific things you can do to make a referral more likely, and to make it easy for someone else to send a client your way.

Three

More isn't the goal. Right is.

When a referral does show up, is it the right one? More referrals isn't the goal by itself. The goal is your ideal client showing up because someone pointed them straight at you.

I post on Instagram every day. I don't have any clients. Why not?

The promise
By day 5, you'll know every referral source available to you, not just the one or two you've been counting on. Referrals stop being something that happens to you and start being something you run.

One honest note before you sign up

This isn't hand out more business cards and wait, or post one more reel and hope. And it isn't always fast. Sometimes a referral shows up the next week. Sometimes something you do on day 2 pays off three months from now. Both are normal. This week gives you the system, not a guarantee of when it pays off.

What we cover, day by day

Day 1, 3, and 5 are live on Zoom at noon Eastern. Day 2 and 4 are recorded, so you can work through them on your own time.

1 Live

Your Referral Map

Referrals aren't random. Most doulas' client lists trace back to two or three real sources. You'll find yours, and probably be surprised by what's on it and what's missing.

2 Recorded

Past Clients and Word of Mouth

The relationship doesn't end at the six week visit. You'll learn what staying in touch actually looks like, and how to ask for a referral or a review without it feeling transactional.

3 Live

Providers and Community

Who else already talks to pregnant people every week, and how those relationships actually start. It's never a cold email.

4 Recorded

Follow Through and Ethics

What a real thank you looks like, and exactly where gratitude ends and paying for referrals begins. A real legal and ethical line, and most doulas have never been told where it is.

5 Live

Your Referral Plan

Pull the whole week into one repeatable plan you can run again the next time referrals slow down.

Whether you're just getting started or you've been doing this for years

This week works the same for new doulas and doulas who've been at this a long time. If you're new, you're building your referral sources from scratch, and this saves you from spending years learning it by trial and error. If you're established, you likely already have referral sources you're not using well, or you've hit a plateau you can't explain. Either way, the five days are the same, because the sources and the system are the same. What you bring to each exercise is what's different.

Questions

What if I can't make the live days?

Every live session is recorded. All recordings, the live day replays and the recorded days, stay available for 3 weeks after Day 5. You can catch up on your own time.

Do I need experience to join?

No. This works whether you're brand new or you've been doing this for years.

Is this the same as the Doula Mentoring Collective?

No. This is a standalone 5 day intensive on referrals specifically. DMC is a monthly mentoring membership, and I'll tell you about it at the end of the week if you want to keep going.

How much time does this take?

Each day has one training and one short exercise. Plan on 30 to 60 minutes a day, plus the live calls on day 1, 3, and 5.

What if it doesn't work for me?

There's no guarantee attached to this one, and it isn't refundable. Show up, do the work, and you'll walk away with the plan. That's what I can promise.
