Automation for doulas starts with the work you repeat

Most of the doulas I meet didn't sign up to become their own administrative assistant. If admin is eating your energy, you've probably said at least one of these:

  • I just need a better system.
  • I repeat myself with every new client.
  • I’m not techy, and I don’t want to waste time figuring it out.
  • I have 47 tabs open, and they keep me up at night.

This class helps you pick one small system that does something for you while you do something else. Do it once, and it runs every time.

Tech That Works While You Sleep
Automation is care in advance.

For doulas, new or practicing. No tech skills required. Start any time and go at your own pace.

What you will learn in this class

The class is approved for 1 CE contact hour. By the end, you'll be able to:

  • Know what automation is

Explain what automation means in a doula business.

  • Pick the right tool

Compare five beginner-friendly tools or systems, and choose one that fits your stage of practice.

  • Set up your first one

Plan and set up at least one simple automation.

Approved through DONA International, course number CEP002-016-W.

Automation for doulas: five places to start

Think of this like a menu. I start with where doulas get stuck at each career stage, from new to exhausted. Then, for each automation, you'll see the problem it solves, what it looks like in action, and free and paid tools. Pick the one that makes you say, that's what I want to fix.

  1. Intake formsSend every client one clean link, and keep their information in one place.
  2. Welcome emailsWrite a warm welcome once, in your own voice, and let it send itself.
  3. Online payments and invoicingRetire the awkward “just checking” message, and make paying part of the process.
  4. Self-schedulingSkip the back and forth over times. Your boundaries are built into the calendar.
  5. Full client workflowsOne flow from inquiry through check-ins. This is the level-up step, probably not where a brand new doula starts.

See it work: I walk through the real automation behind this class, from purchase to login link. I also touch on mileage tracking and scheduling social media.

Yours to keep: a printable PDF of the tools I talk about, plus a few other tech tools I use.

CE certificate: finish the class and the short evaluation for your certificate for 1 CE contact hour.

This is for you if

Questions

What can a doula automate?

Automation for doulas can start small. This class covers five automations: intake forms, welcome emails, online payments and invoicing, self-scheduling, and full client workflows. You pick the one to start with.

Do I need tech skills?

No. You don't need a tech background or a business degree, and you don't need to do all of it today. Pick one small system, fix that, and move to the next when you're ready.

Will automation make my practice feel impersonal?

No. Automation isn't robotic. I think of it as care in advance: you write the note once, in your own voice, and every client gets it at the right time.

Do I have to pay for new tools?

No. You don't need 18 tools. I include free options as well as paid ones, so you can start with what fits your practice and budget.

Is any of this live?

The class is a recorded session you watch on your own schedule. Your class also includes 1 live Q&A session with me on Zoom, to use within 12 months, so you can bring questions about your own setup.

Does this include CE hours?

Yes. Finish the class and the short evaluation, and you'll get a certificate for 1 CE contact hour you can apply toward certification or recertification. The class is approved through DONA International, course number CEP002-016-W.

How long do I have access?

As long as the course is available. Come back to it when you're ready for your next automation.

Can I get a refund?

No. Registration is nonrefundable because this is a digital course.
